Mallory Creek in Leland has earned the 2025 Community Association Seal of Distinction from the Community Associations Institute North Carolina Chapter. The recognition highlights the association’s strong governance, financial responsibility, and dedication to resident well-being. Only nine communities in the state received this award in 2025.
Mallory Creek Awarded for Excellence
Mallory Creek received the award during the annual conference in Wilmington this August. The Seal of Distinction is valid for three years and acknowledges communities that meet best practices in areas such as finance, reserves, insurance, governance, and rule enforcement.
Out of more than 15,000 HOAs across North Carolina, only a small group met the standards this year. The recognition places the community among the state’s leading associations that prioritize strong management and vibrant neighborhood life.
The HOA’s president explained that the award reflects the commitment of board members, volunteers, residents, and the community manager. They view it as recognition of efforts to build a welcoming community while maintaining high standards in governance and financial oversight.
The president also noted pride in representing Leland and joining other recipients in raising the bar for association management statewide.
