Around 1:30 p.m., firefighters responded to the 1300 building on Laryn Lane in the Lexington Villas condominium complex. The fire, located near the back of the neighborhood, threatened multiple units. The complex is off Whiteford Way.
Photos from the scene showed numerous fire trucks at the site. Fire officials confirmed that two firefighters sustained minor injuries and were taken to a local hospital for observation. The fire, reported around 1 p.m., was extinguished shortly after 2 p.m. Two residents were displaced due to the damage.
The cause of the fire is still under investigation, though officials believe it was accidental. The fire caused approximately $200,000 in damage. Officials noted the affected property was vacant at the time, as it had recently been sold.
